About me

Lena is a Cuban singer, songwriter, pianist, and actress, winner of Latin GRAMMY®, rose to fame in 2005 with a first album of 12 songs of her own, including Tu Corazón in a duet with Alejandro Sanz, "I can swear" and "Qué sería de mí", songs that reached the top positions on the radio, video channels and in the public's taste.

Heir to the Cuban musical dynasty headed by her grandmother Elena Burke and her mother Malena, she was born in Havana, where she sang her first songs at the age of 2 and then took guitar lessons and studied classical piano for 11 years.

In 2006 she received two Latin GRAMMY® nominations as "New Artist of the Year" and as "Record of the Year" for "Tu Corazón" and also at Premio Lo Nuestro she was nominated as "Revelation Artist of the Year".

In 2007, she starred in the film La Mala, a performance that earned her the "Halcón Maltés" (audience award) and "Best Female Performer" at the XXIX Mostra Festival in Valencia, Spain whose soundtrack became her second album where she wrote some of the songs and interpreted them in their entirety as well as producing them musically together with his father Rey Nerio.

In 2011, he recorded his 3rd production called "Álex, Jorge y Lena" which earned him a Gold Record in Mexico and 2 nominations for the Latin GRAMMY® 2011, in "Album of the Year" and "Best Pop Duo or Group Vocal Album", winning in this last category.

He has collaborated with world-class artists such as Joss Stone, Franco de Vita, Gilberto Santa Rosa, the super band Guaco, Yordano; and shared the stage with figures such as Don Armando Manzanero, David Bisbal, Franco de Vita, Jorge Luis Chacín, FreeCover Venezuela, among others.

Lena has been recognized for her interpretive ability, trajectory, and contribution to the recording industry with Las Llaves de la Ciudad de Miami and as a permanent ambassador of the Bulova brand at the Latin GRAMMY® Awards. As well as Governor of the Florida chapter of the Grammy® for the period of 2020-21.
